NSE Wins SEBI Approval for Potential ₹30,000 Crore IPO

NSE Wins SEBI Approval for Potential ₹30,000 Crore IPO

The National Stock Exchange, or NSE, wants to become a company whose shares can be bought by the public.

SEBI has approved the exchange’s plans to move forward with this IPO.

NSE’s chief executive announced the approval at a finance conference in 2026.

The IPO could be worth more than ₹30,000 crore.

That would make it one of India’s biggest IPOs.

Existing NSE owners, rather than NSE itself, would sell the shares.

The planned sale could include nearly 6% of NSE’s shares.

NSE may list its shares on the BSE by September 2026, but the date and size could change.
