Nagaland Pushes for Unified Naga Solution
The Nagaland government is trying to bring all the different groups in Nagaland together to talk about one solution for the Naga political issue.
They want to create a single group, called the 'Naga Common Platform,' so that everyone can speak with one voice.
This is because right now, there are many groups saying different things, which makes it hard to find a solution.
The government had meetings to discuss this and also talked about improving the Dimapur Railway station and airport.
They hope that by working together, they can finally solve the long-standing Naga issue.
Nagaland government's Political Affairs Committee (PAC) proposed forming a 'Naga Common Platform' to unify political negotiations.
The PAC called for tribal 'hohos' to come together and impress upon all Naga political groups to unite under one umbrella.
The goal is to present a singular, cohesive voice in political negotiations to overcome internal divisions.
The framework agreement for the Naga issue was signed in 2015, but the final solution is delayed due to disputes over a separate flag and constitution.
The PAC also discussed hurdles regarding the development of Dimapur Railway station and the expansion of Dimapur Airport.
