FSSAI Orders Recall of Wonderland Raisins for Pesticide Levels
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) found that a batch of raisins called Wonderland Raisins had too much pesticide on them.
Because of this, the FSSAI told the company that makes them, Sun Organic Industries, to take all the raisins back from stores.
The company must keep records of the returned raisins and tell the regulator how many were taken back.
The FSSAI also said the company has to fix the problem so it doesn’t happen again.
This is to keep people safe from harmful chemicals in food.
FSSAI orders recall of Wonderland Raisins after pesticide levels exceed limits.
Samples tested by National Food Laboratory, Ghaziabad and NIFTEM-K found unsafe.
Sun Organic Industries must recall the entire batch and submit recall reports.
Recall is under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and 2017 regulations.
Company must implement corrective measures to prevent future contamination.
