Donald Trump Tours New White House Helipad Amid Rising Costs
Donald Trump showed reporters a helipad being built at the White House.
It is being made on the South Lawn.
The helipad is meant to help larger Marine One helicopters land safely.
Trump signed a stone that will be part of the helipad.
He also asked some workers and officials to sign it.
Trump said the area could be used for events and visits by foreign leaders.
The White House said it might be finished before Chinese President Xi Jinping visits.
Some people criticized the project because many Americans are struggling to pay for food, housing, gas, and utilities.
