Kerala Govt Doctors to Strike on Nov 13 Over Pay, New Posts
Doctors who work in government hospitals in Kerala are planning to stop working for a day.
They want their pay to be updated and are owed some money from past years.
They also want the places where they work to hire more doctors.
They tried a smaller protest before, but since their requests haven't been met, they decided to do a bigger strike.
However, they will still help people in emergencies during the strike.
Doctors in Kerala's government medical colleges will strike on November 13.
The Kerala Government Medical College Teachers’ Association (KGMCTA) announced the strike.
Demands include salary revision, arrears from 2016-2020, and fixing pay for new doctors.
The association is also asking for more positions to be created in medical colleges.
Emergency services will be excluded from the strike, but other departments will participate.
