CSM Technologies Wins $174,000 Beira Corridor Digital Monitoring Contract
CSM Technologies has won a contract to build a digital tool for a major African trade route.
The tool will gather information from ports, roads, railways and customs systems.
It will help show where goods are moving and where they are getting delayed.
Authorities will be able to view the information on maps and dashboards.
The project will first be tested on the route between Beira and Machipanda.
Building and rolling it out is expected to take about 18 months.
The contract is funded by TradeMark Africa.

The Transport and Trade Observatory will track cargo flows and identify delays across transport and customs systems.
The project is expected to take about 18 months and includes a pilot on the Beira-Machipanda route.
The Beira Corridor links Mozambique’s Port of Beira with Zimbabwe and trade routes serving Malawi, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The platform will use dashboards, GIS mapping, alerts and analytics; CSM says it will help authorities coordinate and address bottlenecks.
