Hindustan Zinc Plans ₹5,000 Crore FY27 Capex
Hindustan Zinc, a big mining company, plans to spend ₹5,000 crore this year to make their operations bigger and start new projects.
They will use most of the money on projects they already have and a smaller part on new ones.
The company made a lot of profit recently because of higher prices and better efficiency.
They also sold some silver in advance at a good price.
The company is not too worried about the war in West Asia because they can sell their products in other places.
They might use their own money to pay for these projects, but they could also borrow money if it's cheaper.
Hindustan Zinc plans to invest ₹5,000 crore in FY27 for capacity enhancement and new projects.
80% of the capex will be used for ongoing brownfield projects, and 20% for new projects.
The company plans to fund the majority of the capex through internal accruals.
Net profit more than doubled in the June quarter to ₹5,469 crore due to higher LME prices and improved efficiency.
The company has sold 38 tonne of silver forward contract at $62 per ounce for the September quarter.
