IIMs’ CAT 2026 Admissions Consider More Than Marks
CAT is an important exam for students who want to study for an MBA at an IIM.
IIM Indore is scheduled to hold CAT 2026 on November 29.
Students are expected to be able to register until September 15, 2026.
However, getting a good CAT score does not automatically guarantee admission.
Each IIM decides how it will choose candidates for the next stage.
It may look at school and college marks, work experience, and diversity factors.
Some IIMs may also use written tests, group discussions, interviews, or other exercises.
Shortlisted students will receive interview letters from the relevant IIMs.
The final process and importance given to each factor can be different at every institute.
IIM Indore will conduct CAT 2026 on November 29, according to the official exam calendar.
CAT 2026 registration is expected to remain open until September 15, 2026, at iimcat.ac.in.
IIMs use their own shortlisting criteria, which can differ from one institute to another.
Besides CAT scores, institutes may consider academics, work experience, gender and academic diversity.
The next selection stage may include WAT, GD, personal interviews, group exercises or additional tests.
