Punjab Congress Protests, Demands CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s Dismissal

Punjab Congress organized a protest in Chandigarh.

The protesters wanted Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar dismissed and arrested.

They said people’s votes were being stolen and that elections were being unfairly changed.

Police stopped them from reaching the Election Commission office.

Water cannon was used when protesters tried to cross barricades.

Several Congress leaders and workers were detained.

Congress leader Amrinder Singh Raja Warring called for an end to the Special Intensive Revision process.

The protest came after Rahul Gandhi said election officials had raised concerns about changes to voter lists.
