PMC Faces Electoral Roll Errors
In Pune, India, the city government found a big problem with the list of people who can vote.
Over 300,000 names are listed twice, and some people from other areas are also on the list.
This is causing confusion, so the government is asking everyone to check their names and fix any mistakes.
People can check online or get a paper copy.
The deadline to make changes is November 27.
Some leaders are saying the mistakes might be on purpose and want the elections delayed until the list is correct.
PMC found 300,000 duplicate entries in electoral rolls.
Names of voters from outside Pune, like Mundhwa and Khed Shivapur, appeared in the rolls.
Citizens urged to verify and correct their names by November 27.
Political leaders allege administrative negligence and demand action.
Hard copies of electoral rolls available for a fee, including voter photographs.
