Bank of America Names New European M&A Leaders
Bank of America has chosen two new leaders, Geoff Iles and Lukas Poensgen, to handle its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) business in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Iles previously led M&A in the UK, and Poensgen handled M&A in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
They are taking over from Eamon Brabazon.
This change comes as dealmaking in the region is seeing a small increase.
Bank of America is currently sixth in the region for advising on deals.
Iles has worked on large deals, including Centamin Plc's sale.
Poensgen advised on PAI Partners’ sale of Apleona Group GmbH.
Bank of America appointed Geoff Iles and Lukas Poensgen as co-heads of M&A in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Iles previously headed UK M&A for the past seven years.
Poensgen led M&A in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
The appointments follow Eamon Brabazon's promotion to global co-head of M&A.
