Punjab BJP Chief Calls for Double-Engine Government Against Drugs

Punjab BJP Chief Calls for Double-Engine Government Against Drugs

Punjab BJP leader Kewal Singh Dhillon said the state needs stronger action against drugs.

He said a “double-engine” government means the BJP governing both India and Punjab.

Dhillon believes this would help make Punjab drug-free.

He asked people to join campaigns that encourage young people to stay away from drugs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke about fighting drug abuse in his radio program.

Modi said addiction harms families and society, not just one person.

Dhillon criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government, saying the drug problem had grown despite earlier promises.

He made the comments at a gathering in Mohali district.
