Amanda Seyfried to Star in Amazon's 'Skinny Dip'
Amanda Seyfried is going to star in a new TV show called 'Skinny Dip.'
It's based on a book by Carl Hiaasen.
The story is about a woman named Joey who is pushed off a cruise ship by her husband but survives and wants revenge.
She teams up with a former cop to get back at her husband.
The show is a mix of drama and comedy.
It's being made by Amazon, and some of the people who created 'Once Upon a Time' are helping to make it.
This is the fourth time someone has tried to make this book into a TV show, but this time it's finally happening with Amazon.
Amanda Seyfried will star as Joey Perrone in the TV adaptation of Carl Hiaasen's novel 'Skinny Dip.'
The series is a dramedy produced by Warner Bros. Television with Adam Horowitz, Edward Kitsis, and Bill Lawrence as executive producers.
Amazon is developing the series after previous attempts by HBO, The CW, Quibi, and HBO Max.
Joey Perrone is a woman who survives being pushed off a cruise ship by her husband and seeks revenge with the help of a disgraced ex-cop.
Bill Lawrence also produces 'Bad Monkey,' another Hiaasen adaptation, for Apple TV+.
