Officials Urge CSR Funds to Rejuvenate Hyderabad Lakes
A city called Hyderabad has many lakes.
These lakes help stop floods, keep nature healthy, and may give the city water in the future.
The city's leaders want companies to help take care of the lakes.
Companies can use special charity money, called CSR funds, to help.
The leaders held a big meeting called CSR Round Table 2.0 to ask for help.
Two important leaders spoke at the meeting: Jayesh Ranjan and A.V. Ranganath.
They showed everyone the lake work that has already been done.
The government also approved a third round of lake work.
The leaders hope companies and citizens will work with the government.
If everyone helps, the lakes will be safer and cleaner for everyone.
Officials urged corporate houses to use corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds to develop and revive smaller lakes in Hyderabad.
The appeal was made by the municipal administration and urban development (MA&UD) and sports departments at CSR Round Table 2.0.
Lakes were highlighted as important for flood control, ecological balance and meeting the city's future water needs.
Special chief secretary Jayesh Ranjan and HYDRAA commissioner A.V. Ranganath addressed the meeting.
