Central Railway Floats Rs 59.5 Crore Bhusawal Cable Tender

Central Railway Floats Rs 59.5 Crore Bhusawal Cable Tender

Central Railway wants to improve some of the equipment that helps electric trains run.

It has invited companies to bid for a project in the Bhusawal division of Maharashtra.

The project is expected to cost about Rs 59.5 crore.

It includes installing a special cable with 96 optical fibres.

The cable will be used with the system that supplies electricity to trains.

This is a behind-the-scenes infrastructure project, not a change to passenger services.

It does not promise faster trains or fewer delays by itself.

The work will begin only after a contractor is selected and the tender is awarded.
