India's Flash PMI Hits 60.7 on Strong Manufacturing
Imagine the economy as a giant machine.
The HSBC Flash India Composite PMI is like a report card for this machine, and it shows how well things are running.
In July, this report card got a really good grade, 60.7, better than the previous month.
This is because the part of the machine that makes things (manufacturing) did super well, its best in almost 18 years!
The part that provides services wasn't as high but still did well.
This means the economy is growing and people are buying more stuff from businesses.
India's Composite PMI rose to 60.7 in July, up from 58.4 in June.
Manufacturing PMI reached 59.2, its highest in nearly 17.5 years.
Services PMI dipped slightly from 60.4 to 59.8 in July.
Overall sales expanded across the country at the composite level.
International orders received by Indian firms rose sharply.
