Meesho IPO Opens Amid Mixed Market Sentiment

Meesho IPO Opens Amid Mixed Market Sentiment

Meesho, a popular e-commerce platform in India, is launching its first public offering (IPO).

The IPO is expected to open on December 3 and close on December 5.

The grey market premium (GMP) for Meesho's IPO is currently ₹29, which suggests strong interest from investors.

The estimated listing price of Meesho's shares is ₹140, which is about 26.13% higher than the IPO price of ₹111.

Meesho claims to be the top e-commerce platform in India in terms of order volume and annual transacting users.

The company has over 199 million annual transacting users and facilitated 1.8 billion orders in FY25.

Meesho's IPO consists of a fresh issue of ₹4,250 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of ₹1,171 crore, totaling ₹5,421 crore.

The funds raised will be used for investments in cloud infrastructure, marketing, acquisitions, and general corporate purposes.

Meesho reported a net loss of ₹3,942 crore in FY25, primarily due to one-off exceptional items related to its shift to a public structure.

However, the market sentiment is mixed, with some experts cautioning about overvaluation and investor fatigue.
