Woman Killed in Wild Elephant Attack in Hassan

A 40-year-old woman named Shobha was tragically killed by a wild elephant while working in a coffee plantation in Hassan district.

The incident happened early in the morning when the elephant suddenly appeared and attacked.

Shobha's family and villagers were very upset and protested, saying the forest department should have warned them about the elephant's presence.

They also demanded better long-term solutions to prevent such attacks in the future.

Local officials visited the scene and promised to take action, but the villagers were not satisfied with just promises.

This is not the first time such an attack has happened in the area, and people are worried about their safety.
