USFDA Warns Reliance Life Sciences Over Navi Mumbai Drug Lapses

The USFDA checked a drug-making facility in Navi Mumbai.

It said the facility had important problems with how it made and tested medicines.

Some laboratory records did not contain all the needed test information.

The regulator also said the company lacked proper procedures to prevent germs from contaminating sterile medicines.

Because of these concerns, the USFDA put the company’s drugs on an import alert.

This means the drugs offered for import into the United States face regulatory action.

The agency asked the company to find the causes of the problems.

It also asked Reliance Life Sciences to make lasting corrections so the issues do not happen again.
