Health Minister Halts Pension for Convicted Former DMHO
The Health Minister in Andhra Pradesh has decided that a retired health official will not receive their pension or retirement benefits.
This is because the official was found guilty of taking a bribe.
Back in 2017, the official asked a doctor for money to renew their hospital license.
The official was caught by the authorities while taking the bribe.
The official had retired in 2020 and was expected to get a monthly pension and a large payment upon retirement.
Because of the conviction, they will not receive either.
AP Health Minister ordered stopping pension and gratuity to a retired DMHO.
The DMHO was convicted on graft charges by an ACB court.
The former DMHO demanded a bribe of Rs 30,000 in 2017.
He was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe.
He retired in 2020 and was supposed to receive pension and gratuity.
