UGC-NET Retest Disrupts Aspirants’ Plans After Errors Found

The UGC-NET is an important exam for people who want research fellowships, teaching jobs or PhD admission.

Some candidates found many mistakes in the English, Commerce and Sociology papers.

They reported misspelled names, grammar problems and repeated questions.

A committee confirmed that the papers had several factual, typographical and translation errors.

Because of this, the National Testing Agency decided to hold the three exams again in September.

Students say they now have little time to prepare again.

They also worry about missing university application deadlines and job opportunities.

Some students may have to travel to a different place because their lives have changed since June.

The candidates want the agency to consider these problems, including allowing examination-centre changes.
