Mammootty Surprised Siddique-Lal by Changing His Hairstyle for Hitler
Hitler was a Malayalam movie directed by Siddique and produced by Lal.
Mammootty played the main character.
Siddique thought Mammootty would look more serious if he combed his hair backward.
Mammootty first said no and kept his hair combed to the side.
Lal also tried to convince him, but Mammootty said he would decide about his own hair.
Just before filming, Mammootty suddenly combed his hair backward.
He then asked Lal if the hairstyle was acceptable, making Lal laugh.
Siddique said Mammootty sometimes liked to disagree first but still followed the director’s plan when the camera started.
During the first day of filming Hitler, Mammootty initially refused Siddique’s suggestion to comb his hair backward.
Producer Lal supported Siddique’s idea that the hairstyle would give Mammootty’s character greater maturity and authority.
Mammootty told Lal that he would decide how his hair should look and continued wearing it combed to the side during rehearsal.
Just before the take, Mammootty applied gel, combed his hair backward, and asked Lal whether he was satisfied.
Siddique later said Mammootty often appeared resistant but would ultimately deliver exactly what the director wanted.
