He will start his job on Monday, 2 February and has a contract until 2028.

Frankfurt paid 1.3 million euros to get him from a team in Slovenia called Celje.

Riera has played for many big teams like Liverpool and has coached other teams before.

Frankfurt is currently in 8th place in the Bundesliga, which is a league for football teams in Germany.

They want Riera to help them play better and maybe get into the Champions League, which is a big competition for the best teams in Europe.

Right now, two other coaches are in charge for one more game.
