India Faces Skilled Labor Shortage Despite High Unemployment
India is expected to grow a lot in the future, but companies are having trouble finding people with the right skills to help them.
Anshuman Magazine from CBRE explained that it's not a problem of not having enough people.
Instead, even though there are many unemployed people, businesses are struggling to find workers with the right skills for the jobs they need to fill.
To fix this, Magazine believes that India needs to improve how it teaches people new skills and provides education.
The goal is to make sure that people are trained for the jobs that are available, so that the economy can keep growing.
Anshuman Magazine of CBRE highlighted India's talent shortage at the Business Today India@100 Summit.
Magazine stated that while India has significant market potential, finding skilled workers is a major challenge.
He noted a discrepancy: high unemployment alongside businesses struggling to find suitable candidates.
Magazine emphasized the need for changes in skilling and education to meet market demands.
The focus should be on developing skills to drive growth, not on market opportunities.
