Indian Railways Expands Services

Indian Railways Expands Services

The Indian Railways has approved 10 new local train services on the Nerul–Uran and Belapur–Uran routes.

These new services will include four trips on the Nerul–Uran–Nerul route and six trips on the Belapur–Uran–Belapur route.

The new services will also include stoppages at two newly built stations, Targhar and Gavhan.

Targhar station is near the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport, which will help airport passengers and employees.

Gavhan station will improve access for Uran residents.

Currently, trains run every hour during peak times and every 90 minutes otherwise.

With the new services, the gap between trains will be reduced by about 15 minutes, making daily travel easier for commuters.

Additionally, Western Railway has announced 13 special trains to meet the rising demand and manage the additional rush of passengers.

These special trains will connect several key cities, including Vadodara, Surat, Mathura, Jaipur, Kishangarh, Alwar, Borivali, Mumbai, Delhi, Bandra, and others.

The special trains will operate from December 6, 2025, to January 9, 2026, and will include various classes of coaches to accommodate different types of passengers.
