PNB MetLife, IPPB Launch Life Cover with Sukanya Yojana
PNB MetLife and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) have teamed up to create a special plan called Sukanya Samriddhi Suraksha Yojana (SSSY) to help girls.
This plan combines the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY), a government savings plan, with life insurance.
It means if a parent passes away, the girl's SSY account contributions will continue.
Parents aged 18-50 can sign up.
The plan covers contributions between ₹25,000 and ₹1,50,000.
It uses IPPB's network to reach families, especially in rural areas, making it easier to save for their daughters' futures.
The goal is to ensure families can confidently plan for their daughter’s education, marriage, and other aspirations.
PNB MetLife and IPPB launched the Sukanya Samriddhi Suraksha Yojana (SSSY).
The plan combines life cover with the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY).
Contributions to SSY continue if the earning parent dies.
