Eternal vs Swiggy: Stock Choice After Q1 2026 Results
Zomato, also called Eternal, made a lot more money in the first quarter of 2027 than it did last year, but its profit was a bit lower than the previous quarter.
Its sales jumped a lot because it started selling more items directly.
Swiggy, another food delivery company, still lost money but the loss was smaller than before, and its sales grew too.
Analysts think Zomato is a better choice for investors right now because it looks more profitable and has a stronger business plan.
They say people who want to invest for the long term should watch Zomato closely and buy when the price goes down.
Zomato (Eternal) posted a 268% YoY net profit rise to ₹92 crore in Q1FY27, but profit fell 47.1% sequentially.
Eternal's revenue surged 182% YoY to ₹20,211 crore, driven by a shift to a 1P model in quick commerce.
Swiggy narrowed its net loss to ₹791 crore in Q1FY27, with revenue up 37% YoY to ₹6,812 crore.
Swiggy's adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed to ₹650 crore from ₹945 crore in the previous quarter.
Analysts favor Eternal over Swiggy as a stronger investment due to better fundamentals and profitability trajectory.
