Government Plans National Child Survey to Assess Welfare Scheme Impact

The government of India wants to learn more about children who need help.

It is planning a big survey called the National Child Survey.

The survey will ask about the needs of children.

It will focus on children who need care and protection.

It will also help young people who have trouble with the law and need rehabilitation.

The survey is part of a program called Mission Vatsalya.

Mission Vatsalya used to be called the Integrated Child Protection Scheme.

It works to protect children's rights and strengthen the juvenile justice system.

A group of lawmakers called the Standing Committee on Finance talked about this plan.

They want to make sure government programs are really helping children.
