Delhi, Neighbouring States Set Seven-Month Pollution Awareness Plans

Delhi and four nearby states have made plans to teach people more about pollution.

The plans will run for seven months, from September 2026 through March 2027.

Pollution control boards will organize and manage the activities.

Delhi will use print materials, LED displays and radio messages about diesel generators and road dust.

Meetings with resident groups and social media campaigns will address biomass burning.

Haryana will speak directly with vehicle owners about pollution checks, cleaner fuels and electric vehicles.

Haryana will also hold village camps about avoiding stubble burning.

Punjab will train farmers and demonstrate ways to manage leftover crop material.
