Parliament Winter Session Begins Amid Opposition Concerns
The government is having a meeting with all political parties before the Winter Session of Parliament starts.
They want everyone to work together so that Parliament runs smoothly.
During the session, they will talk about important laws and discuss the national song 'Vande Mataram'.
The Prime Minister said that some parts of the song were removed in 1937, which might have caused problems later.
The opposition parties are not happy with some changes the government is making to the voter list and plan to protest.
They also want to talk about other important issues like pollution, the Delhi blast, and the economy.
The session will have 15 sittings and will last from December 1 to December 19, 2025.
An all-party meeting was held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, ahead of the Winter Session of Parliament.
The government seeks cooperation from all political parties for the smooth functioning of both Houses of Parliament.
The Winter Session will run from December 1 to December 19, 2025, with discussions on key Bills and the national song 'Vande Mataram'.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the historical significance of 'Vande Mataram' and its impact on national unity.
The Opposition plans to strongly oppose the voter-list revision exercise conducted by the Election Commission of India in nine states and Union Territories, and raise issues related to SIR, Delhi blast, pollution, and foreign policy.
