Taiwan envoys in Washington for trade talks
Some important people from Taiwan are going to Washington, D.C. to talk to officials from the United States.
They want to discuss how to make it easier for Taiwan to sell things to the U.S. and to make it easier for both countries to invest in each other.
The talks are happening very soon, either late on Wednesday or early on Thursday.
The main person leading the talks is the Vice Premier of Taiwan, Cheng Li-chiun, and they will be talking about how to reduce taxes on things Taiwan sells to the U.S. and how to make it easier for businesses to invest in both countries.
