Kaal Bhairav Jayanti is a special day in Hinduism that celebrates the birthday of Kaal Bhairav, a powerful and fierce form of Lord Shiva.
Lord Shiva took this form to fight bad things like injustice and arrogance.
People fast on this day to get Kaal Bhairav's blessings.
By praying to him, they believe they can get rid of fears, sickness, and bad luck.
It's also said to give them bravery and protect them.
Special rituals include lighting a mustard oil lamp and offering things like black sesame seeds and coconut.
Feeding a dog, which is Kaal Bhairav's sacred vehicle, is also considered very good.
