Bomb Threats Cause Flight Diversions
Two different bomb threats caused flights to be diverted and checked for safety.
The first threat was made by a man named Abu Aqeel Azhar Chad at the Bengaluru airport.
He told security that he had bombs in his bag.
He was trying to board a flight to Ahmedabad.
The police think he made this up because he was upset about the strict security checks.
He was arrested and charged for causing trouble and threatening others.
The police say he didn't actually have any bombs, but he scared other passengers.
The second threat was a handwritten note found on a flight from Kuwait to Delhi.
The flight was safely diverted to Ahmedabad, and all passengers were checked.
No bombs were found on either flight, and both incidents were handled by security teams.
An IndiGo flight from Kuwait to Delhi was diverted to Ahmedabad after a handwritten bomb threat note was found on board.
The flight landed safely with 180 passengers, who were evacuated and screened, but no suspicious objects were found.
Earlier, a 52-year-old man, Abu Aqeel Azhar Chad, was detained at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport for claiming to have bombs in his luggage.
Chad was attempting to board an IndiGo flight to Ahmedabad when he made the false claim during security checks, reportedly due to frustration with heightened security measures.
Chad was charged under sections 125 and 353(1)(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for endangering public safety and causing public mischief.
