India-EU Trade Deal Finalized After 20 Years
India and the European Union have finalized a big trade deal after 20 years of talks.
This deal is called the 'mother of all deals' because it involves a lot of countries and will help both sides trade more easily.
Once it starts, almost all of India's products made by hand will not have to pay extra money to be sold in Europe.
This will help create more jobs and make people in India and Europe richer.
The deal also makes it cheaper to import luxury cars and wine from Europe.
The leaders of India and the EU think this deal will be good for both sides and will help them work together better in the future.
India and the European Union have finalized a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) after two decades of negotiation.
The deal will provide duty-free access to 95% of Indian labour-intensive exports to the EU and lower duties on imports like luxury cars and wines.
The FTA is expected to create jobs for millions of workers in India and Europe and boost economic growth.
The agreement will cover a wide range of sectors, including textiles, apparel, engineering goods, leather, handicraft, footwear, marine products, wine, automobiles, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
The deal is expected to be implemented by the end of the calendar year 2026, following legal scrubbing and ratification by the EU Parliament.
