Pilot Praised After Foiling Attack Aboard Dubai-Tel Aviv Flight

A pilot named Smit Machchhar was attacked while working on a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv.

UAE authorities described the incident as a terrorist attack, and the investigation is still continuing.

The article says the co-pilot attacked Machchhar and tried to take control of the plane.

Even though he was hurt, Machchhar opened the cockpit door.

Passengers then helped stop the co-pilot.

More than 170 people were on the plane.

The article praises Machchhar for helping protect them.

It also criticizes some political figures and a social-media activist group for not publicly praising him.

The reasons for the attack have not yet been established in the article.
