Gadkari Assures No Engine Failures from E20 Fuel
The Indian government tested older cars using a new type of fuel called E20, which has 20% ethanol mixed with petrol.
They found that the fuel did not cause any engine problems or affect how the cars run.
The government has set rules to make sure all new cars can use this fuel safely.
Some people were worried that the new fuel might damage their cars, but the tests showed that it's safe.
The government also said that older cars don't need any special changes to use this fuel.
This new fuel is part of India's plan to use less fossil fuel and help the environment.
Government tested older vehicles running E20 fuel and found no engine failures.
Tests covered 1 lakh km and showed no impact on vehicle performance.
Only 20% of new petrol vehicles sold in the last 15 years are compliant with E20 standards.
E20 standards are well established by Bureau of Indian Standards and Automotive Industry Standards.
Vehicles sold before April 1, 2023, are compliant with E10, and those after are E20 compliant.
