Palaniswami Urges Voters to Defeat TVK Candidates in Bypolls

Edappadi K. Palaniswami is the leader of the AIADMK party.

Before campaigning ended for two by-elections, he asked people in Madhuranthagam and Dharapuram to vote for his party.

He said the vote could punish what he described as betrayal and misuse of power.

He accused TVK of persuading some AIADMK legislators to switch sides.

He said some of those legislators then left their assembly seats, leading to the by-elections.

These were accusations made by Palaniswami.

He said TVK was using unfair methods to win votes.

He asked voters to elect Kanitha Sampath and K. Banumathi, the AIADMK candidates.

He also said he believed his party would win.
