Priority Jewels IPO Sees Strong Demand, Brokerages Differ

Priority Jewels is offering shares to the public through an IPO.

The shares cost between ₹190 and ₹200 each.

Reports showed very strong demand from retail and non-institutional investors.

However, different updates gave different total subscription figures for the second day, likely because they were recorded at different times.

The grey market showed a premium of about ₹45, but this does not guarantee a profit when the shares list.

The company makes lightweight gold, platinum and diamond jewellery.

It plans to use much of the money to repay debt and for general business needs.

Some brokerages like the company’s long-term prospects, while another said the valuation was fair and highlighted business risks.
