Punjab family wins compensation after driving licence lost in courier

A family in Punjab wanted to send a driving licence to the United States.

They gave it to a courier company to deliver.

The package got lost and nobody could find it.

The person in the US needed a licence, so they had to get a new one.

That cost extra money.

The family asked a special court called a consumer commission for help.

The court in Mohali said the courier company should pay the family back.

The company must give them Rs 20,351.

This includes the money paid for courier charges and for the new licence.

The court helps people when companies do not do their job properly.
