ED Seeks Case Against Tamil Nadu Minister
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in India has asked the Tamil Nadu government to file a case against Minister KN Nehru.
They say he took bribes to give contracts to certain people for building things like toilets.
The ED has a big document with pictures and messages as proof.
The minister says these are false claims.
His party, DMK, says the ED is doing this to create trouble before elections.
Earlier, the ED also accused the minister of taking money for jobs.
The minister denied that too.
The police are yet to say anything about the new claims.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has asked the Tamil Nadu government to file a case against Minister KN Nehru for alleged corruption worth Rs 1,020 crore.
The ED claims that government contracts were given to pre-decided contractors for bribes ranging from 7.5% to 10%.
The ED has submitted a 258-page document with 300 pieces of evidence, including pictures and messages, to support their claims.
The ED also previously accused the minister of a cash-for-jobs scam, where bribes were taken for government job appointments.
Minister KN Nehru has denied the allegations, calling them politically motivated, and his party, DMK, has termed the ED's actions as an election-time stunt.
