Delhi Air Quality Improves, GRAP-4 Curbs Lifted
The air in Delhi has been very bad, but it got a little better recently.
The government decided to stop some of the strict rules they had put in place to control pollution because the air quality improved.
They are also planning to use special technology from Japan to help reduce dust in the air.
The government is also giving people money to switch from petrol vehicles to electric ones.
Even though the air is a bit better, it's still not great, so some rules to control pollution are still in place.
Delhi's AQI improved from 'severe' to 'very poor' with a reading of 336 in the morning.
GRAP-4 curbs were lifted as the AQI improved to 271 (poor category).
The government plans to introduce advanced Japanese technology to reduce dust particle emissions.
Delhi government is expected to release an EV policy draft in January, offering substantial subsidies for switching to electric vehicles.
The Delhi High Court directed the GST Council to consider lowering or abolishing GST on air purifiers due to the worsening air quality.
