Unnao Students Protest Food, Water and Teacher Shortages

Unnao Students Protest Food, Water and Teacher Shortages

Hundreds of students at a residential school in Unnao held a protest.

They said the food was not good and there was not enough drinking water.

They also said there were too few teachers to help them study.

Some students were unhappy with the principal’s behaviour.

The students carried signs and sat at a nearby road crossing.

Their protest briefly slowed traffic and caused long lines of vehicles.

Government officials came to listen to them and shared breakfast with them.

The students went back after officials promised to address their complaints.
