25 Cats Rescued After Explosion in Japan Mall
A big earthquake hit Japan and a mall in Kashima was hit by a gas explosion.
Inside the mall was a cat cafe with 25 cats.
The staff quickly got the cats out before the blast.
The cats were safe and taken to Hiroshima.
People online were happy, but some said we should focus on people who were hurt.
25 cats rescued from Cat Cafe MOFF after a gas explosion in Aeon Mall, Kashima, following a 7.1‑magnitude earthquake.
The explosion likely caused by gas; the mall was evacuated and staff retrieved the cats before the blast.
Cats were transported to Hiroshima, unharmed, and received individual care.
At least 34 people died in the quake; seven bodies were found in the mall.
Social media reaction mixed: praise for the rescue, criticism of focusing on animals over human casualties.
