Nagpur City Revises Processes: Certificates & Admissions Changes
In Nagpur, the city government is rechecking some old birth and death certificates to make sure everything was done correctly.
If you have one of these certificates, you'll need to bring it in again so they can verify the information.
Also, Nagpur University is changing how students apply to college.
Instead of signing up online first, students will now apply directly to the colleges they want to attend.
This means they'll skip the online registration step and go straight to the schools.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) canceled all non-availability certificates issued between 2023 and March 2025.
The decision followed a Special Investigation Team's (SIT) findings on irregularities in certificate issuance.
Citizens must reapply with old certificates for reverification at the birth and death registration department.
Nagpur University discontinued its online registration process for undergraduate admissions for 2025-26.
Students must now apply directly to affiliated colleges for admission.
