Jindal Steel Commissions Galvanising Line at Angul Complex
Imagine a factory that makes special steel.
This factory, run by Jindal Steel, has a new machine called CGL 1.
This machine coats steel to make it strong and resistant to rust, like the metal used in cars or refrigerators.
It makes two main types of steel: Jindal Panther for regular needs and ZINKALUME for tougher jobs.
These steels can be used in many things, from your air conditioner to the back of your fridge.
Jindal Steel is also expanding its factory to make even more steel in the future.
Jindal Steel has commissioned its first Continuous Galvanising Line (CGL 1) at Angul.
The new line will produce galvanised and galvalume products under the Jindal Panther and ZINKALUME brands.
CGL 1 can process steel thicknesses from 0.15 mm to 1.50 mm and widths from 700 mm to 1400 mm.
Products include full hard, soft galvanised steel, and galvalume for industries like appliances and automotive.
Jindal Steel plans to add 6 MTPA crude steel capacity at Angul, reaching 12 MTPA by the end of 2025.
