Gujarat MLA Criticizes Rs 23 Crore Janjati Gaurav Diwas Expenditure
A politician named Chaitar Vasava is upset about how much money was spent on a special event called Janjati Gaurav Diwas in Gujarat.
The event cost Rs 23 crore, which is a lot of money.
Vasava thinks this is unfair because the government isn't approving bills for important things like Anganwadi centers and new school rooms.
He shared details about the spending, like Rs 7 crore for building a pavilion, Rs 3 crore for a dome, Rs 5 crore for the stage, and Rs 7 crore for transporting people to the event.
He believes this money could have been used for more important things.
Aam Aadmi Party MLA Chaitar Vasava criticized the BJP-run Gujarat government for spending Rs 23 crore on the Janjati Gaurav Diwas event.
The event, held on November 15 in Dediapada, Narmada district, honored the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda.
Breakdown of expenditure: Rs 7 crore for pavilion construction, Rs 3 crore for the dome, Rs 5 crore for the stage, and Rs 7 crore for transportation.
Vasava claims the expenditure is 'shameful' as Anganwadi bills are not being approved and new school rooms are needed.
Details of the expenditure were made public from an RTI reply.
