Nashik Road Projects Face Scrutiny Over Quality Inspection Lapses

Nashik Road Projects Face Scrutiny Over Quality Inspection Lapses

Nashik is building and improving 28 roads before a large religious gathering in 2027.

The road work is expected to cost about ₹1,230 crore.

Officials checked three of the road projects.

They found that some construction records did not match each other.

Some required inspection requests and documents were also missing.

This made it harder to check whether the work was being done properly.

The Quality Control Department told officials and consultants to inspect the work more carefully.

The projects are planned to finish by March 2027.
