TDP Orders Leaders to Avoid Sharing Stage with YSRCP
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) told its leaders not to stand on the same stage as leaders of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP).
They can go to events like condolence meetings, but they should leave after giving their respects and not join any joint programs.
The TDP chief, Palla Srinivasa Rao, said this because some leaders had made comments that upset party workers.
He also praised a senior leader, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, for explaining his actions, but warned that any future misbehavior would be punished.
The TDP wants to keep the alliance strong and avoid any embarrassment to the party.
TDP state president Palla Srinivasa Rao ordered all party leaders to avoid sharing public stages with YSRCP leaders.
Leaders may attend condolence or tribute events but must leave without participating in joint programmes.
The directive follows concerns over recent remarks by some TDP leaders that caused unease among workers.
TDP high command praised Bonda Umamaheswara Rao’s explanation but warned indiscipline would not be tolerated.
Violations of the alliance’s guidelines will trigger disciplinary action, per TDP president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
