Kolkata Left Parties Rally Against CEC, Electoral Roll Revision

Left parties held a protest march in Kolkata.

They wanted Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar removed.

They also wanted the Special Intensive Revision of voter lists stopped.

The parties said some genuine voters’ names were allegedly deleted.

They asked that those names be restored.

They also opposed the 2023 law used to appoint election commissioners.

Leaders from several Left parties joined the march.

The procession ended at the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Esplanade.
