Satish Poonia Eyes Haryana Blueprint for Punjab Polls
Satish Poonia is helping the BJP plan for the next Punjab Assembly election.
He may use a strategy similar to one used successfully in Haryana.
The plan would send small teams into different parts of each constituency.
These teams would speak with people through local, family, business and social connections.
They would also help organize workers at polling booths.
Teams could send daily updates through WhatsApp.
Workers from nearby Rajasthan districts may help in Punjab because they have connections across the border.
Poonia has not yet said whether the BJP will form an alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal.
He also says many people are unhappy with the Aam Aadmi Party government, though this is his political assessment.
BJP Punjab in-charge Satish Poonia is preparing a constituency-level strategy for next year’s Assembly elections.
The plan may divide each assembly constituency into smaller areas managed by separate teams with local contacts.
Daily ground feedback, WhatsApp updates and booth-level coordination would guide campaign decisions.
Workers from Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar and Hanumangarh districts may assist BJP operations in border areas of Punjab.
Poonia said it is too early to comment on a possible BJP-Shiromani Akali Dal alliance and criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government.
